Macro-Cells

A macro-cell is simply a group of cells under a particular generation that decides to meet together either for sanctification purposes or to have an evangelistic outreach.  These evangelistic outreaches are normally called “miracle catches.”

Every leader will eventually have leaders in his cell as he introduces the members to the steps of the vision: Pre-Encounter, Encounter, Post-Encounter, and School of Leaders.  A leader may decide to have all his come cells together in one meeting.  This is what we call a macro-cell, or one huge cell meeting.

Macro-cells are important because they break the congregation down into small groups that allow members of one cell to meet members of other cells.  Not only does it bring an important dynamic to the church, but it also allows leaders to develop skill in preaching and leading greater numbers of people.  The goal is to help leaders become “leaders of multitudes.”  If leaders cannot speak to a group larger than 12, they have not developed as leaders of multitudes.

Macro-cells can be held in the church sanctuary, homes, outdoors, in hotels, or wherever there is an opportunity to win souls and develop the leaders.

Macro-cells also increase the awareness of the authority structure in the church, since some people may not have a clear picture of how each cell leader is operating under delegated authority from his leader and ultimately, the senior pastor.
