Web Developer Position

We are looking for a web developer to supplement our creative team and assist in maintaining various sites and technologies. You should be passionate about Jesus and care about the user experience you create for His church. You must be able to hand-code HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. You should take pride in creating clean semantic markup while adhering to web standards and believe code is a craft.

Bonus points if you:

  • Can manage a LAMP server in CLI only
  • Are familiar with CMS: EE and Wordpress
  • Are familiar with CodeIgniter or other PHP frameworks
  • Are a hybrid designer/developer

This position is full-time and on-site at our north campus in Baker, Louisiana.

Electrician

Position Summary
Employee performs highly skilled maintenance,  installation, repair and trouble shooting work involved with electrical systems.  Electrical work may be performed in a number of areas including heating, refrigeration, motors, fire alarms, and generator equipment. Work involves technical application of electrical principles.

Duties & Responsibilities

     
  • Installs, services and repairs lighting fixtures, electrical panels, outlets and wiring
    •  
  • Operates power hand tools and other specialized electrical equipment
    •  
  • Installs, repairs and services specialized electrical equipment and machinery
    •  
  • Constructs and maintains service equipment
    •  
  • Reads electrical circuit diagrams
    •  
  • Requisitions material and supplies from stockroom; calls vendors to discuss needs for parts and supplies, and recommends purchases and suppliers
    •  
  • Transfers primary power from one power source to another
    •  
  • Installs conductors, splices cable, builds terminations and does necessary hook-up for primary power lines
    •  
  • Sets poles, strings overhead lines and does overhead line maintenance
    •  
  • Lays underground conduit for electrical lines and installs low voltage electric lines and conduits for telephone systems
    •  
  • May do other trades work incidental to electrical work.

Technical Support Specialist

Position Summary
The Technical Support Specialist will provide first-level information technology-related hardware and software support to all of the internal users for Bethany World Prayer Center.

Duties & Responsibilities
He or She will be responsible for the following:

     
  • Perform first-level IT support-related activities on issues regarding the use of computer hardware, computer software, and wireless communication devices (i.e., iOS, Android, Blackberry)
    •  
  • Perform timely escalation of pending support-related issues with thorough resolution and analysis
    •  
  • Perform other duties as requested and within areas of expertise
    •  
  • High-level of integrity

Mandatory Skills & Knowledge

     
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2003 / 2008
    •  
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS (i.e., XP, Windows 7)
    •  
  • Strong knowledge of wireless network communications (i.e., Cisco, HP, etc.)
    •  
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
    •  
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    •  
  • Self-direction and motivation

Qualifications
Minimum bachelor degree in information technology, computer science or similar field
Excellent understanding of the English language
