Brother Roy: Letter from the Campaign Executive Director

Ruth and I have been so privileged to witness the great work that the Lord has done here at Bethany in the past 44 years. God has directed us, ordered our steps, and given His divine guidance in every venture of faith. We continue to marvel at His grace as He has increased our numbers and expanded us to three campuses.

A concern for the lost of our city and for the world has always been a part of our identity as a church family. Our core values of simplicity, sincerity, and sacrifice have enabled us to do more than we ever dreamed possible for the kingdom of God, giving millions of dollars annually to missions. As we have been diligent to do what we could for the lost-financially and spiritually-God has more than repaid anything we have ever given away.

Twenty-four years ago, my son Larry and his wife, Melanie, assumed the reigns of leadership at Bethany, and under his direction, God has expanded our influence as a church. Now my grandchildren are moving into active ministry for the Lord, and the blessings of God are continuing to the third generation. We are looking ahead to how we can best serve the future generations that come to Bethany searching for the reality of a risen Savior.

To serve those future generations and as a continuation of what the Lord first birthed in us over forty years ago, we launched 20/20 Vision: The Next Generation. Your part in this journey is first and foremost to pray, asking the Lord to continue to direct Bethany with a vision for souls and the multitudes that are coming. Second, prayerfully consider sowing a sacrificial seed in the 20/20 Vision. Anything you give is an investment in the future of our children, grandchildren, and the generations to come, both here at home and around the world.

I am confident that years from now and in eternity we will look back at the investment we made in the lives of people and say that every tear, every hour in prayer, and every sacrifice was worth it, and a thousand times more. May you and your family be blessed as together we work with "20/20 vision" for the next generation!

In Christ,
Roy and Ruth Stockstill
